LUNA PIENA WALL LAMP

Luna Piena by Catellani & Smith is an impressive, sculptural wall and ceiling fixture from the iconic Luci d’Oro collection, representing a fuller, more monumental version of the concept inspired by the moon disc. The lamp is distinguished by a distinctive, disc-shaped shade with an irregular, hand-finished texture, which creates a dominant aesthetic accent in the room.

The project was created with the aim of creating sophisticated, atmospheric indirect light. The light source, set on a subtle, bent arm, is directed straight onto a concave disc covered with noble metal leaf. The rays reflect off the gold, silver, or copper structure, saturating the interior with a soft, warm glow and deep reflections. The luminaire is perfect as a representative feature in living rooms, commercial spaces, and communication routes.

The fixture is powered by low voltage 24V DC and uses LED light modules (replaceable 24V LED boards, warm white 2700K, CRI 80). Depending on the disc scale, the fixture is characterized by the following technical parameters:

 Ø 80 cm: 2 × LED board 3.2W (total power 6.4W / 860 lm, flexible arms with spoon-shaped holders)

 Ø 120 cm: 2 × LED board 3.2W (total power 6.4W / 860 lm)

 Available finishes: disc covered with hand-applied gold, silver, or copper leaf, integrated with a discreet mounting base (Ø 9 × h 3.5 cm)

Power supply and dimming system are not included – they are an optional extra and are priced individually depending on the chosen installation variant.
